Entry to your home
We offer 3 entry options to choose from:
- The client may opt to be home to allow access to their home the day of the service.
Bargain Maids cannot guarantee the exact arrival times and works with A.M. or P.M. arrivals. If no one is home or our cleaners are turned away for any reason the customer is responsible for the cost of the cleaning.
- The client leaves keys with the doorman or concierge.
Please let the doorman or concierge know that Bargain Maids will be arriving on the day of your cleaning. If the key is not available for any reason and we cannot access the home the customer will be charged for the cost of the cleaning.
- The client can purchase a lock box to place a key inside and provide Bargain Maids with the pass code.
In the event for any reason the key is not in the lock box, or the code does not work when the cleaners arrive to clean home; the client is responsible for the lock out and will be charged the cost of the cleaning.
NOTE: In the event the client chooses to leave a door unlocked or place a key under a mat or any other unsecured place for the cleaners to enter the home, the client will sign a release form stating that Bargain Maids will not be held liable for any damages or theft to the client’s home.
Home alarms systems
Bargain Maids will not be liable for any false alarm charges due to code changes not brought to their attention before servicing the home.
Time of service
It is impossible to commit to an exact arrival time because of our ever-changing schedule and the fact that we don’t finish cleaning each home at an exact time. We service homes between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and work with A.M. or P.M. arrivals.
Schedule changes, cancellation of service
If you reschedule, skip, add or cancel your service, we ask that you give a 24-hour notice. Without a 24 hour notice you will be charged the cost of the cleaning. Cancellations on the same day of service for any reason will also be charged the full rate of service. All cancellations must be made through our office.
Bargain Maids has a “no pay/no clean” policy. Payment is due in full prior to the day of your scheduled service. Payment is due the day of service. Payment is made on our website, https://bargainmaids.com
Clients are given advanced notice of any price increases. Bargain Maids has a 3% cost of living increase annually.
Bargain Maids offers add on services such as inside of the oven cleaning, or inside of the fridge cleaning. These services can be purchased on our website, https://bargainmaids.com prior to the day of service.
Any service requiring extra labor, supplies and/or equipment will be billed additionally. Any services not normally included in the cleaning package that the client selected will be an added charge unless it is noted in the client’s service agreement.
Bargain Maids does not remove trash from the home. Any trash will be bagged and left by the entry door. The customer must provide trash bags the day of service.
Bargain Maids needs your input on the overall experience and quality you are receiving so that we may address concerns that are important to you. Bargain Maids performs random quality control inspections and will leave behind a card indicating so.
Working in the home
The cleaners need to be able to work without distractions. Every effort is made for the cleaners to work safely, but we cannot assume liability for the safety of others while cleaning your home. This includes children and pets. In the event the cleaners are not able to work without distractions that affect their ability to work in their normal speed, Bargain Maids reserves the right to charge for their extra time spent in the client’s home.
If for any reason a cleaner of Bargain Maids feels that their personal safety is in danger enough to leave the job site due to actions by the client, client’s guests or animals, the client will be liable for the full cost of the service.
We love our clients’ pets! But for their own safety and the safety of our cleaners, please put your pets in a pet carrier or secure area of the home or garage.
All cleanings are booked at flat rate prices. NJ State Sales Tax will be added to all charges. Our rates are based on “average” conditions. Should we arrive and the home is in “below average” condition, we will notify you and you may opt to pay more or have us work around certain areas.
As a courtesy Bargain Maids will change the linens in the master bedroom provided the linens are left on the bed. There may be an additional charge to change linens on other beds.
It can happen when you least expect it! Bargain Maids can assume no liability for damage due to pictures not hung securely, items with unstable bases, floating shelves, items not secured properly, etc.
Curio cabinets, figurines, glassware and items of extreme value or sentimental value should be cleaned by the client. If an item is broken by one of our cleaners, Bargain Maids will pay up to $100 per item or replacement cost when value is verifiable. Please remove any item that is irreplaceable prior to your scheduled cleaning.
Client should point out any damage to surfaces during walkthrough and before service begins.
Bargain Maids is sometimes called in to correct damage that was already there or that another cleaning company was responsible for. Bargain Maids reserves the right to photograph damaged or excessively dirty areas.
In areas of the home with extreme clutter Bargain Maids reserves the right to skip those areas to avoid damaging items or injuring the cleaners.
Surfaces such as hardwood floors and natural stone should be in good condition and ready to clean without causing harm to the surfaces when using a neutral pH cleaner.
Bargain Maids does not do dishes but will load the dishwasher to free up the sink for cleaning. Any dishes that are in the dishwasher are presumed to be dirty. If this is not the case, please empty the dishwasher prior to your scheduled cleaning.
Bargain Maids will move furniture on occasion to clean behind it. The cleaners will not move excessively heavy items. If there are heavy pieces of furniture that require moving, we ask these items to be moved prior to the cleaning. Bargain Maids will not be responsible for scratches in flooring due to unprotected furniture legs.
We want you to be absolutely delighted with the cleaning service! Report any concerns to our office at 201.891.0600 within 24 hours after the service. We will return and re-clean the area(s) of concern at no cost to you.
Non-Solicitation of employees
When a client enters into an agreement for services with Bargain Maids the client understands that they will pay a $2,000 training fee to Bargain Maids if they engage in a working relationship directly with any employee of Bargain Maids during this agreement other than through Bargain Maids.
Please put away produce, baked goods, or any other fresh foods. Bargain Maids will not handle any of these items nor will we use any cleaning solutions in a room if there are any of these items left out.
